This is a con and it’s remarkable how many people have swallowed the media driven bait hook line and sinker. 20,000 people in the US alone have died from influenza this season (so far) alone, while 3000 people have died from Covid 19 worldwide. Over 80% of people will experience only mild flu like symptoms, and the daily death rate it a tiny fraction of what Hep B is. And of all the deaths, those without pre existing conditions account for less than 1% of deaths.

I saw a post on BookFace and it’s very true, with the way we have fallen for and melted down over this con it’s no wonder they’d never tell us about aliens.

With no controls. What would the death toll be if we made no effort to control Covid-19?

Hint: look at Italy. Death toll is over 7% because it has exceeded their capacity to provide healthcare.

More than double that actually.

The mortality rate for Hep B is 0.0005%. About 7000x lower than Covid-19.

How ridiculous, and its this type of thinking that will make this issue so much worse then it is, the fact the your not taking it seriously. "Media Driven Bait"? where did you get your facts from? The MEDIA...

You don't seriously believe the F1, Euro Cup, NBA were all postponed because of Media Hype, Multi Million Dollar industries postponing events because of a mild like flu?

We are being drip fed what we need to know at a slow rate to ease the panic and carnage thats about to unfold.

Agreed, I just finished a 2 hour debate with my 19yr old Daughter who is just as adamant that its all just a media beat up and will be all blown over in a few months, she figures if its as bad as being made out why doesn't the government just order a nationwide lockdown, trying to explain to her that we don't live in Communist China and that full enforcement like that in one swoop would result in riots, I said you see how they're reacting over toilet paper without taking away civil liberties, imagine if they we're told it was their last chance to go outside or shop for the next month.

I have no doubt it was lost on her, the best thing I've seen said about this situation is that Australians have viewed world events through their TV screens and have never had to face this type of situation before so have a false sense of security and I think my Daughter fits that description perfectly.

This is what happens when the misinformed try to preach.

Get back into your burrow. Much safer for everyone else while you're in there.

What are the ‘real’ figures then? Easy enough to post crap at others from the safety of a keyboard.

I thought flights would become fairly cheap but QANTAS is still charging the usual for domestic flights.

Let's see if we go into lockdown between now and next Friday when im on the plane

I am hanging on waiting for hotels to advertise half price rooms, coming down to melb over Easter and havent booked yet based on this...honestly would have expected some announcements on all these services by now they must be hurting.

Qantas just announced a 90% cut in international flights and 60% cut in domestic flights. This isn't cutting the cost of the flights but the number of flights. To be reviewed again towards the end of May 2020.

If you want to stay in the Northern suburbs close to the airport check out Hyatt Place in Essendon Fields, it's pretty reasonably priced, the facilities are good too as it's new, there's a restaurant attached to it and it's a short walk from the 59 tram on Matthews Avenue if you want to go into the city and Keilor Road Niddre restaurant strip is around the corner.

Alternatively Atlantis Hotel on Spencer Street in Melbourne CBD is a cheap 4 star hotel about 200m away from Southern Cross station if you want public transport access.

They'll both be around $200 per night across weekends but sometimes you can get the Atlantis for $90-$130 per night during the week.

Might be public holiday tax involved though.

I got a room at the Treasury Hotel in Brisbane for $156 which I'm pretty surprised about given its next to the casino but accomodation everywhere other than Melbourne and Sydney seems cheap

Best comment in this thread so far. Media outlets like ABC and Channel 10 should lose their licence for peddling their fear porn, ABC particularly, but they'll use any opportunity to attack Morrison and the Liberal Government.

Given 80% of people who contract this virus will develop mind symptoms means its not the 'deadly virus' its made out to be.

It's the latte soy drinking left and those who use their mouths as garbage disposal units, drinking coffee, alcohol, smoking, eating junk food, following the Standard American/Australian Diet (SAD), popping pharmaceutical drugs in the belief it will make them healthy, they're the folk who are in the firing line. Yep, I'd be afraid too if I trashed my body and believed that a trip to the doctors will make be better. They're about to have a surprise of a lifetime if they catch Covid-19.

Given MSM refuse to report on any treatment of the current virus this clinical trial will be interesting to follow. Big Pharma have no interest in it, they cant patent something that grows naturally.
