Default Man am I broke. Anybody know of any quick and easy side jobs to find?

My bank balance is close to $0.00 and my credit card is maxed out.
Yeah I know its my own stupid fault and I should budget better so spare me the lectures but I need all you peoples infinite wisdom on here who would give me some advice or if you have any ideas on how I can make some quick cash?

Getting another permanent job just wont do with my time schedule.
I'm thinking more along the lines of any online jobs available or jobs you could easily find out in the neighbourhood or something.

I have good people skills and general knowledge.

Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance for anything you can contribute to this thread. :

Not in relation to the job, but ensure you have less out than coming in ( boring i know ) but you will need to stabilise the slide and avoid further woes, from there yes extra work and rebuild.

After this thread http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=41574 for your XBOX360 order ...

Maybe you need to instil some SELF DISCIPLINE... Differentiate between a NEED and a WANT...

I’m not your mother, but if you don’t use COMMONSENSE you will be adding the same thread in 10 years from now... If u had waited 3 months, the 360 would be half price and you could’ve paid CASH... Plus, you could barter.

With the exception of a home, if u haven’t got the cash, u can’t afford it – Try and live like that.

I would HIGHLY recommend a magazine like MONEY. Lays down the basics.

Bit harsh, but sometimes u need a good kick in the pants !!

Just trying to help !! ; )

Seriously, before you start looking for money, I think you're better off learning how to budget first like stera mentioned. By earning more money, you'll only end up spending it anyway.

If you need cash fast, prioritise. If you're serious you'd probably sell the XBox, put the money aside and budget accordingly. Sure you've probably yearned for it since you heard about its release, but we don't all get what we want and make sacrifices. Even if it means getting the latest gadgets further down the track.

In re. to jobs. Handing out resumes and applying at a lot of places on seek.com.au and similar is your best chance. Agencies are generally good for casual factory work, you've just got to want to work first.

I'm working in a bottle shop as a second job which is great as i'm saving to go over seas for 8 weeks and I have no intentions to work while over there :P.

Its a good hourly rate, better then most retail/nightfill jobs and hours are very flexible. Bartending is along a similar vein with more hours again and a better hourly rate due to the later times that you'll be expected to work (eg 1/2am in the morning, even later) and some of the crap you have to put up with.

Actually, when I did work in a servo, I was getting $6 an hour, and that was in 2003.

Needless to say I left after that...

$6 dollars an hour was that an adults wage?
That sounds like slave labour to me & in 2003.

Best way to look @ it is what do you have that you

a) can minimise use of eg car, downgrade net connection, social life, gas, electricity etc etc.
b) don't want. Sell what you don't want or need to have laying around.

I'm in the same boat at the moment. I'm at the sell my dream home (massive mortgage) that I built stage to go live in a box. That way I can afford to fund my social life/drag racing. I'll be downsizing my mortgage from $300k -> around $160-180k. I'm almost finished clearing out/selling all my spare for the XB. Least I want have to pack them ;)

I don't have the option of a second job as my current job is pretty much 24/7 anyway.

What's killing me is childcare! I get some back @ tax time but that's useless to me till then. I'm spending well over $5000pa on childcare. For 2 days a week! Buy a childcare centre they appear to be on very big $.

If your in deep the first people to talk to is the financial institution "first"...
Whats that saying?? If you owe the bank $$$ its your problem..If you can't pay.. Its the banks problem...Depending how deep you are ??? They can drop interest rates till you recover...After all if you go bankrupt NO one gets any $$$$ and they know that!!!
You MAY be able to sign up with a 6 months free interest credid card like Aussie home loans and in that 6 months live like a hermit...Or you'll be in DEEPER pooo.....
