Default 130 000km's.. too much?

im looking at AU XR8 II and ive found a few okay ones, this is one is cheaper then the rest but has 130 000km's...

is that too many k's?

and could anyone give me a rough idea of how much an engine rebuild would cost?


lol sorry for the newb questions. help is much appreciated.

hey Muz welcome....... 130000 not to bad if it has been maintained properly just check all the usalls; oil colour to see its had a service. rattels when eng. cold.. stuff like that or get checked by a mechanic if your not sure.. either way it"s not that many ks for a Winsor V8 imo. what sort of price are they askin ?

yup , no near done , still plenty of years in that engine , considering as said above that the engine has been well maintained & service

Because that type of Ford V8 was made in Windsor, ON, Canada, as opposed to a Cleveland V8.

check oil colour, check coolant colour (should be light green or red), check radiator and under the front for front end damage. check also that it idles ok and starts first time. look for oil leaks and so on. id recommend a RACV or similar check if youre not sure. :

We bought ours with high k's 18 mths ago, our mechanic said it was as good as his AUII XR6 ute with only 50k on it, as long as it has a good service history that can be verified you should have no problems. Ours runs good oil pressure and puts out the same kw if not more than from new and the wife got it down the 1/4 in 15.3 in 33c and she had not raced before, what i am saying, if it all seems ok go for it, you will not regret it!
