My gf bought it new and it's had it's fair share of niggles.
First thing tonplay up was the steering. It felt "grabby" as you turned into carparks, slow speed etc. ford "lunricated" a bolt and it was fixed... For about a month until it came back. Later they replaced the offending bolt and that issue is now gone. The second thing is the auto/manual making a grinding sound. Back to ford.. Apparently it was ok? I have recently recieved a recall letter so it will be going back for another look. The car now has 80,000km and something in the front end is horribly wrong, i think it's either dead shocks or some bushes have had it. This noise/bang is felt at slow speed going over speed humps or entering a driveway or even driving over reflectors on the road. I told ford to check this (probably 20,000km ago) and "everything was fine" bullsht.. Other things i hate about this car are how crap the doors sound when they are shut (i noticed this from new but the gf didn't care too much) Also how rough it seems to idle along when your foot is lifted off the break pedal. Engine light is permenantly on... Ford just resets... Comes back on next day... I think it has an exhaust leak somewhere also, but they don't think so. Things i do like about it are, Handling 1.6 little rocket motor Awesome stereo. Anyone have similar issues i'd love to hear them. Thanks

You take a rag, push it to block the exhaust at the rear, if you can hold it, car will stall or you will hear the gas escaping out the leak
