Default Parrot Audio Products

Has anyone had any experience with these kits? Seems like it could be a good thing for use in BA-FG Falcons - without having ipod cables etc or adding aftermarket head units.

The reason I'm asking is I want something in my FG that makes it easy to play music, other than connect to AUX all the time (My iphone 5 case has to run and adaptor to plug into the 3.5mm jack and it's just a pain + cable in the cab)

Why don't you use a iPhone 4 to 5 adapter to plug your iPhone 5 into the iPod cable in the centre arm rest.

That is a link to the apple version but you can find cheaper on ebay. I use this and it works a treat, also handy for charging my phone

iPhone 5 doesn't work in the FG unless you take it to Ford for an update - I live like 1600km from a Ford dealer...

I currently own an XT fg falcon sedan and an fg GTE and previously owned an fg xr6T and my iPhone 5 has worked with all of them using the adapter I linked in an earlier post

Earlier model. Fg 's may have needed the technology pack as an option?? . My cars have all been sept 2010 and onwards and the iPod connector is inside the centre armrest towards the front of the area directly under the lid.

Thought that was the case - hence my reasoning with going an aftermarket setup with more functionality as the cost difference is not that great.

My ML Triton had a Parrot bluetooth in it and it was completely useless as you could only hear anything if the engine was turned off.

Ive just installed a Parrot MKi9200 into my 2009 FG G6 Falcon sedan to go with my iphone 4Gs. The kit performs as expected, however, Im not entirely impressed with its built in amplifier...it really is a let down and the music quality is very basic at best. There is quite a noticeable difference in quality.

That aside...its fully bluetooth compatible, so Iphone 5 users should not have any difficulty syncing their phone to this system. Also comes with a handy SD card slot for picture and music file access. The little screen is fully and easily detachable, so you can take it with you when you leave the car.

Installation is a breeze as its all plug and play and for the DIY, I had it all fitted up within an hour. You will have to buy specific wiring harnesses for the Parrot kits to suit the individual vehicle. For the Mki9200 I had to purchase an ASP-KRAM 68659 and an ASP-KRAM DA201 from the Strike Group @ Toombul Rd, Northgate Queensland. So no soldering or cutting of wires!!

I should also say that the Mki9200 also comes with a cable that has an iphone 4 charge plug, a 3.5mm male jack and a female usb plug!!
