Default Taronga Zoo Photos

This weekend was the first time that I had been to Taronga Zoo since I was a little kid. I have had no prior experience with shooting wild animals (or should I say, shooting photos of wild animals), so was a chance to get out the S5500 and have a go.

I've been told the borders are a bit dark so I'll remember that for next time, and also when all lumped together in a thread they are a bit much too. But, for now:

Well, that’s all for now. Was a great day out, I highly recommend checking out the Free Flight Bird Show if you do go! Beautiful views of Sydney Harbour all round the park too. It’s pretty massive so plan to spend the whole day there, especially if you have kids.

Man there pretty good shot of wildlife. The only 2 things i don;t like is the cost of food and the smell in some areas! But yeah its a great family outing place in Sydney.

Amazing photo's, Timmeh - got a really hi-res version of that first tiger one? Would consider getting a print made of that...

Cheers.... the largest I was shooting in was 1200x1600 as I thought I would use up the only memory stick I had with me at the time. As it turned out, the stupid little batteries went to heaven before I had the chance. So to answer, I have it in 1200x1600 but thats not exactly massive.

Wow, thanks, that's quite a compliment. After going through the days photos, I've picked up on all the shots I could have done better. Keeping man-made things like buildings and cages out of the photos was difficult, for example. Cheers.
