Default Brownies XR8

Well thought it was about time to get some photo's up of my new ride.
It's a 2001 AU III XR8 220, 5 speed manual with 83,000 kms on the clock.

Appears to have been lowered, but haven't had a wheel off to check yet, and has BA GT (I think) 19" wheels. Also has an unknown at this stage cat back.

Future plans include changing the wheels, I'm finding the ride on the 19's a bit harsh (or rolling the guards if I keep them as they rub a small amount), full exhaust, short / rip shifter, MSD coils and new leads and CAI.

Please forgive the iPhone pics, and the dirty car.

ohh very nice....as the front bar had a little tap? That colour combo with XR8 Rebel rims would look mint.

Possible, the alignment is a little out, but no obvious signs of any damage or major repairs.

Looks nice mate, those wheels suit it pretty well too!

Looks about SL height, pretty similar to mine...

Well done!

AU3 XR8's with the full kit look great, as has been said if you swapped to Rebal Rims or even T3 TS50 Rims it would look fantastic, not that the current ones look bad by any means.

I must admit that I do like the look with the current wheels, other than the FPV centre caps... Not sure what the last owner was thinking my only issue so far is the ride is very firm, and the replacement rubber for 245/35/19 isn't cheap.

If i can learn to live with the ride I'll just get the guards rolled (any recommendations in the western suburbs?) and replace the centre caps.

The au shouldnt be that bad... I had 20's on mine and it still felt pretty good. What were you driving before?
If the vibration is at the point of being annoying, are you sure there isnt any other underlying factors? Just a thought...

Some ticky centre caps would look sweet!

Previous car was a BA XT Egas, running on 17's. It isn't that there is a vibration, it's just a very firm ride.

If I can find some Tickford caps I'll definately be trying to snap them up
