the thead is about where the upcoming fpv will fit into the performance car market. one of the options is that it will dethrone the w427 as king of the road, and as usual many get their back up because their cheaper car is almost as fast as it, so therefore it cannot be the king of the road, because it is too expensive - boo hoo. it is the car that is being compared not the price

and yes, maybe some ford kids (myself included) will laugh, but surprisingly enough for every one that laughs, there will be 3 laughing back at them
Spot on.. price was never a criteria for his discussion..

Then, to get it back on topic...

What is the $150,000 W427's best magazine times?

Times were done July around those are the months you get optimum performance, oops they should have waited for the summer months...lol..
Wheels review.
zero to 100km/h happens in 4.7 seconds; the standing quarter mile is covered in 12.8.

So money isn't an issue why not wrack in some other $150,000 cars in to the mix.
Your asking people to consider there performance car budget on $75,000 GT to $150,000 special made vehicle.

PS: Post 50 love your sig..

So, if we factor in Holden's antics with newly released models I would say that's a flat 13 at best. Or the same as an F6.

No doubt a very tough car and would nice to drive/enjoy for those that had the performance budget to buy one, there isn't a lot 400 meter times around for the w427, on a Commodore Forum there is post of a 13 flat.
HSV are testing forced induction for there future V8 models now, you would think this well be as good if not better in performance than the w427.

It's the area under the torque curve, and out and out power does not always mean a faster car. With ZF the coyote SC will be a winner.
No the brakes and suspension (let alone trick stuff like diff and box coolers) is what will make the W427 absolutely whop the pants off anything FPV will be game to produce. And so it should for the money. But if anybody thinks the Coyote GT will pants a 427 in all round performance I think they must be on drugs.
