Should straight up be Attempted Murder. Go to jail, directly to jail .
I think the definition of manslaughter was basically "continuing to perform an act that you know could possibly result in a death, even though you werent planning to kill someone"

Go to Jail, do not pass mum, do not pass the hippies, do not pass the forgiving judge and most of all do not pass someone with the propensity to label children with ADHD.

Mandatory sentencing should be brought back in IMO. Give these little fvcks something to worry about. Imagine, no iPhone for 2-5 years.

what would be cheap and effective, cage the overpasses off or put surveilance camera`s on them? one of these little shits could take out a whole family one day.

hmm, nothing about the man nearly killed by rock?
ok, here it is:
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/man...-1225867996857

Sadush Rustemi, 21, was driving his family’s flower truck on the Monash Freeway when the 23kg bluestone rock was lobbed from a pedestrian overpass and crashed through the window, injuring his father Jashar.

Mr Rustemi said his 41-year-old father was knocked unconscious in the ordeal, which happened about 1am near the Warrigal Rd exit

Surveilance cameras IMO wont stop people throwing things off the over pass, they will either destroy the cameras first, or find a blind spot or simply disguise them selves. A cage would obviously stop rocks been thrown on cars. However I think a better deterent would be simply charge anyone that throws anything off an overpass with attempted manslaught min 10 years no parole etc and make the sentence stick regardless of whether or not someone has had a hard life or is under 18.

Again the innocent victim gets charged and the perpetrators get away scott free (albeit lesson learned I hope):

AN outraged German Porsche driver hand-delivered an eight-year-old boy to the police after he and a friend pelted his beloved car with dandelions, authorities said.

The 47-year-old man from Hittfeld in northern Germany was charged with false imprisonment, police said, after he bundled the terrified prankster into his car, furious at what he said was a "dangerous stunt".

Authorities praised the swift action of an eagle-eyed pedestrian who called police when she saw the boy being forced into the car against their will.

The boys were later picked up at the police station by their parents.

"The man realised only later how petrified the two eight-year-olds were. They calmed down a little bit when their parents arrived," said the police.

"They will not forget this experience in a hurry," said the police statement.

dosnt matter what they throw, you see something about to hit your windscreen your first impulse will be to try and avoid it, whether by emergency braking or swerving or whatever, which could just as easily cause a fatal accident.

so yes, even dandelions being thrown at cars are as dangerous as rocks imo.

Whilst I do not condone his course of action; I can understand his frustration...but...dandelions?...has there been something lost in translation?

Yeah, what you don't understand is that kids often will then move up to other items like pebbles, stones, e.t.c because lighter stuff like flowers aren't as fun anymore. This is fact.
