Default Help on new 2009 Focus price

Hi guys, I'm quite new to Ford cars. I got my new fiesta reserved already. But I'm considering to upgrade to the new 2009 Focus facelift model.

What do you guys the fair price for CL or LX model? (drive away price)

Any input is appreciated thanks!

Then run out LT Focus would be easily picked up 20% off RRP.

The LV would be running close to retail!

The prices for the new LV Focus are

CL hatch RRP from $21,990*
CL sedan RRP from $21,990*
LX hatch RRP from $24,290*
LX sedan RRP from $24,290*
TDCi hatch RRP from $28,290*
Zetec hatch RRP from $27,290*
XR5 Turbo RRP from $36,990*

Depends on which model, but I assume your looking at the CL hatch. You need to add around $3,000 to $4,000 for your on road cost's.

In the LT, theres more in the range to choose from. But prices between the 2 only vary from a couple hundred to a grand.

I thought the ad said $18990 plus onroads. In any event, you should be able to get the LX or Zetec at the RRP price, but driveaway.

Do you really want to swap an all new Fiesta to a 4 year old model facelifted Focus?

I saw 19990 drive away ad for CL but not sure whether it's still available or not.

Oh well now that I think of it I need a bigger car, fiesta is a bit too small.

Any input about how much/how far you should bargain for? is it normal to get around 2000 dollar off from the driveaway price for Focus?

I know you can get around that on other brand

You're correct, it is $18990 + dealer and statuary charges.

it does however come with "$3000 extra value" ie alloys etc.

see http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/Conte...=FOA&c=DFYPage

This is a runout model though so I'd be pressing for better than that in the current market.

What options do you want??

That will dictate but its comes with the 'smooth pack' which is alloy wheels, cruise control, leather wheel and colour coded mirrors but if your going for just a 'normal' focus I wouldn't be paying anything more than $18 drive away and if you got an 08 take more off......

When I bought my SR Focus, it was runout at $16,990 + ORC. This was because the new shape had come out already and they wanted to get rid of old stock. I'm sure some dealers would be doing great deals soon to clear up old stick. But the LV is not here just yet, so I don't think your going to get a real good deal on an LT until the LV arrives and they need to clear the remaining stock. Too early I think. But try and screw them down for a good deal because as holden says "Times are Tough" The rest is not relevant to ford :

What area you from?

Right now you should be able to get a CL for 19-20k driveaway, and I'd want the smooth pack included (you want this...mainly for the leather wheel)...the LV model will be hard to get discounts on until they clear all the LT stock.

Well according to the Ford website its $27,290 + D/A

But like you say I would think $25,000 would be quite achievable especially if you go '08 and you'd want some extras with that (Eg. Mats & Flaps etc)
