In a way, that makes a lot of sense. But when I am tinkering on the BA or the XF, a feeling of lonliness creeps in somehow, a feeling that there is an empty place in my heart that working on the cars won't fill.

(despite all the bullshit we're put through).

My resolution is to pull my finger out and start doing some work so I get good marks in Year 12. It would be nice to get more sleep as well.

I want to get a good job and top up my house deposit savings so I can get out of home. If I meet a great chick than that would be alright although I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe mod my car finally but the interest really isn't as strong there anymore :

I made a new years resolution many years ago never to make any more new years resolutions, and so far, so good.

Buy an old banger, strip it out and use it for weekend racing. Get a new job that is less physical and pays better. Don't write off the boong mobile.

2007 was a pretty ordinary year for me in some respects - being dragged through court by your ex certainly doesnt make it a year you want to remember.

For 08 I do have a few, but I'm not sure if I would call them "resolutions". They're more just thoughts and goals I have, if they happen in 08 that'd be great, but if not, I'll settle for a better year than 07 has been.

My goals for 08:-

*Finally make up my mind about what to do with the ute - sell or keep
*Buy a house
*Get engaged
*Become fully qualified in my job (I'm on the way)
*Let go of some of the resentment and bitterness I feel towards certain people, and generally get on with it and enjoy life
*Travel - more than likely in Australia, but if overseas, the US and Germany

To get a better paying job to support my boy ( due any day now....) and so I can buy myself more toys and lavish the trouble and strife with gifts. Home ownership is a distant dream......but cars are more fun
