Default Stereo Compatability?

Hi all,

Will my S2 stocko single CD player fit ok into a S1?

I just assumed yes, but you never quite know do you? LOL!

As far as I have been told by my stereo fitter mate the pin outs didn't change between AU models so I'd figure the answer would be yes

Another question. If someone has one of the slim units (low series), what would they need to make a normal double din unit fit? Would taking out the ashtray do the trick?

no the steering wheel controls are different the S1 uses one wire the S2 uses 2 wires and the resistances are different there is no way to fit it and make it work short of fitting a complete S2 dash and wiring huge job
