Street meets mate, they dont deems to care much about track prep, was having a chat to a guy I raced on my second pass, normally does 10.5@130 on my run he did 11.0@122, he said he was skating all the way, I said how do you rate the track, he said like every wednesday crap, very disapointing to say the least.

Sounds like a good for all the guys. VE commies pulling mid 14's after all the hype is a dissapointment.
Might see whoever at next weeks meet. Some tough sixes should be getting up there. I cant run as I am totally untuned..I like to watch anyway ..

its very interesting.13.9 for the gtp is right on the money for the stockers I have seen down there. The vl' turbos are definately the quickest ..they run nissan turbos!!

Mate of mine was there the other week and blew his transfer case to smithereens ... he ran a low 11 on his first run ... then blew it up.

His best to date is a 10.9 though.

Not a Ford ... but a little purple Proton Satria ... 295awkw ... a bit of a wild ride for a 4-cyl.

My second run was a 14.8@108mph , .527 reaction and a 2.670 60ft.

The car was bouncing/spinning/axle tramping all over the place then it jumped out of first. :

The last run was a 20.229@43.07mph , .403 reaction , 2.183 60ft. The bonnet popped open after I changed into second. : :

Yep, I noticed you just pip the black turbo by 0.1s on one of your runs. Is he on the forums here as well. Nice car... silent but deadly!!!! And correct me if I'm wrong, you had no number plates... how come?

Tunehouse are getting great results with the turbo 6

Congrats on the time, good mph too.....if it gripped on the launch would have been a 10

Hey Mate ... Getting into the high 11s is pretty easy, running low 11s is another story ... Jim @ Tunehouse is the man. He developed the car from stock and has custom kits from a simple edit tune to a "nearly" 10 second car.

I was running about 370 rwkw (we can wind the car up over 400rwkw, next time), 1100 nm @ 3000 rpm hence 1.66 60', 14 psi tune.

Cost to get to about 360rwkw is about $6 - $8K depending on model. Is it easy ? Yes, If you know the right tuner. This should be good for a mid to low 11sec pass.

Note: I drove my car to the track and drove it home. No race fuel, full weight, no problems. It is my daily driver. It still had the bug marks from my recent trip to Nyngan!!

I guess it deserves a wash ?

I was not racing anyone but the clock .. my reaction times where 3 - 4 seconds, I would not win any bracket racing comp.

I just wanted to get off the mark cleanly and keep the thing straight...

I did not notice a black XR with NOS... Looked impressive in the staging lanes.

No plates, no turbo badge, no shiny intercooler, stock wheels ... get the theme? ZZZZZZzzzzzzzer!!

Thanks mate ... it is a fine line between a good launch and an average one .. I did manage a 1.68 and a 1.66 60'. The last one was a 1.78 with wheelspin off the line.

Trust me I have seen ve ss's on the dyno and at the track, they are quick there's no doubt about that.
I have seen plenty of 450rwkw dyno sheets out of Intune Motorsport, but have never seen any timesheets near 10 seconds.

They look pretty at car shows though.

Being a manual and with a heavy boss in the front with good power doesnt help at all to show there true colours.

No plans for a cage... It is my daily driver !! From what I understand cages are no longer street legal ?

Hence we only have one more chance at the track ... We are having a think about how hard we want to go!!
