Default EL Tail lights

Hey Guys

I brought a mod today that I wanted to keep quiet until I had it working, but it seems as though I am having a few issues installing them. Ill put up some pics soon, but first the question.

Is there any difference at all with high and low series tail lamp wiring/setup; anything at all?

I thought there wasn't, but for whatever reason I cannot get one of the "clusters" to fit.

By clusters I mean bulb attachments (??). There are three of them, one for the indicator, one for the brakes and one for reverse. Now two of those seem to be exactly the same size, and have only one metal connection. Then there is one that has two metal connections.

Whats weird is that its one of the single metal connections that wont fit the factory housing. At the moment both the brake and reverse clusters are connected.

What makes this even more frustrating is that it worked perfectly fine in an EL Futura today, unless that loom as been modified.

I would ask the maker, but his offline at the moment, and so is the person I brought them from.

Im impatient, so I was just wondering if anyone else had any ideas? I was all excited and now Im annoyed. No wonder I got a 50 in electonics at uni....LOL (but hey its a pass). I guess trying to do this in the dark isn't helping either, why couldnt day light savings go for one more day...LOL :

Ill throw some pics up that might help, just gotta upload them.

Any assistance would be awesome.

PS - there not altezza's

Are they taillights with heaps of small LED's? I've seen them on new Holden Caprices and they look awesome.

They should look pretty good mate.

/Off topic. I've never seen a XR6 in that colour before. What colour is that?

It's not actually an XR6, it's a Futura....I've since lost the badges (I think it was the first thing I did when I bought it)! The colour is Amaretto.

True, some people are even crazy enough to like rims that are meant for taxi's or that others try to hide in their boots; its a strange world thats for sure. :

Yeah, it seems that one of the connections is different, but not alls lost as MADNC_8 is a pro with that kind of stuff. No drama, just got to chase down a LED relay so my indicators stop acting like they are on speed.
