It was awesome. Had 10 runs with a best of 15.60 @ 90.36. 60ft times were 2.3's. I was getting so consistant it was annoying but still loads of fun.
275000km and the engine must be a bit tired! My mate said it blew a quite a bit of smoke when i got to high rpm. My best 60ft and 300ft i hit the rev limiter in 2nd so i think i may have been able to just run a 15.59 with everything perfect. 2nd to 3rd shift seemed very slow. The mph seems high? No need to get a new cam. Engine freshen up first. PETE

auto?
you'd proberly get better times if you chaned before reaching the rev limiter as they dont pull as hard at that kind of RMP

I wouldnt bother freshening up an ED motor. Much better off getting an AU motor.
In the mean time, get a decent, full exhaust system and a cam. Thats a pretty good time as is, I know I would be happy with it!!! if your after a standard cam for a regrind, send Rollin a PM, he has one.

I tried a bit of everything. First run i didnt stall it up. Then i stalled and let it shift itself. Had throttle body straight into air stream. Best run was standard cold air setup with no filter and shifting a little over 5000. Then again the difference between my best a worst was 1mph trying different things. My car has genie extractors and dual exhaust like the EB XR6. Thats it. Yesterday morning i got a service done on her and the dissy advanced 20deg running 95ron ethanol. Compression was good....not great. The exhaust was leaking everywhere he told me. Some really dodgy welds everywhere. I changed the leads myself but could not get to the dissy cap. I can see the tops are corroded so the cap and rotor need to be changed. Pete

2.3 60's show how crap the auto is off the line. 15.60 is awesome for an auto ed with minimal mods, good luck with it mate, I'd be stoked with that time : |

with 2.3s 60 foot, the Auto is holding off about 1/2 a sec. i ran a 15.18@92mph with a 2.3 60ft. IMO this car has the capability, if it was a manual to be running at least 15.2, which given the kays on the motor, is pretty f$cken good
