Default Reflections of first day of LPG

Well it's not like i havn't owned a car on LPG before, my VT was on gas. It was kinda quick on gas i spose, but on petrol that thing was a dog.

When i decided to get the EF done, i was afraid of loosing my 5.0l power.

AND I DIDN'T

ON gas she still hammers, you can notice the power loss, but flick the switch over and there is no difference at all. I LIKE!

The guys did an awesome job on it. 68l tank that fits nicley in the boot. LPG guage uses the stock petrol gauge, and the switch is tiny, and hidden away.

I also got an oil dripper put in to help lubricate the motor when its on gas.

Random Thread? Yes
Does it have a Point? Maybe.

I just wanted to get across that LPG is not the huge power killer it's thought to be.

I've calculated that with the amount of k's i do per week, it will pay itself off in about 3-4months.

Cheers
Lee

Conversion - 2700
Oil Dripper - 200

2900 all up, then i get 2000 back on rebate

I don't think the fact it's a v8 effects the overall price

I think the fact that its a V8 makes a difference, having that torque would hide the loss a bit.

I know my EA was a slug on gas, it was MPFi aswell.

Im very tempted by this rebate, but im still holding off...just.

Yes holmsy, it's a rebate from the Government to help with the current issues with petrol prices.

The car has to be registered in your name.

And I am pretty sure you have to wait until tax time to get it back. Either way its a good idea.

Yeah, my rebate came through 3 weeks after I submitted the form.

Down side is, you still need to pay the full amount once the conversion is finshed.
Or you could work out a deal with the gas convesion installers, and pay part of it, and pay the final 2000 when the rebate came through.

I wouldnt imagine they would be that keen on the idea, considering if they dont get your business, they will off the other 100 people in the waiting list
