Default Names for your car

Just wondering how many of you have names for your cars...and what they are of course.

It seems it's not as common any more.

I still wonder why the SS Chevelle out of Dazed and Confused was called Melba Toast...

I often end up naming my cars.

My XE Fairmont is called "Gumby" (from the old tv series) cos wen i first bought him i was cleaning out the interior and found a little plastic Gumby.

My ESP parts car is called the original name of "Rusty" no prizes for guessing why...

My current car's name is Tes because people kept reading TE50 as Teso, my old car was Mr Juicy because it was orange which has since stuck to me.

Current AU is called Sarah.

Dont know why, i just decided to give it a girls name

My first Falcon, was called Sarge (it was an excop car), on a good day it was sometimes christened, 'The flying falcon'. On a bad day though it was usually inovled me sweaing, calling it a shitheap and yelling statement questioning the genetic background of the Ford workers at Broadmedows.

The Datsun is called “Elle” because for a long time that was all she had going for her - a beautiful body (bare metal respray). Gradually changed from “Elle the body” to “Elle the shell”.

I started refering to mine as 'The Thing' in general conversation and my wife suggested the character from Fantastic Four.

It's now a theme I'm working on and I will eventually have the character airbrushed on the bonnet I think.
