Default Jaycar ps2 adaptor-what part

the guy at 'leading edge''s idea was to step up from the ciggy lighter to 12v to 240V then plug the ps2 into that(which takes it from 240v to 8.5v)...but ive heard you can get the 12v to 8.5v adaptor from jaycar, they are a Jaycar seller, but need the part no to cause their fat ar$es weight them down to damn much to reserch their own jaycar database.......

So does anyone know the part number for the ps2 car adaptor from jaycar......cheers

other problem is that some DC adaptor bricks don't like inverters so you are probably best off to avoid that if possible

go to game mania in ringwood
25 bucks i think for the playstation 2 slimline power pack.
it goes from cig lighter direct to ps2. no need for any original power pack.

ringwood is out of melb, in vic.
maybe run an extra ciggy lighter socket, so you don't have cords all over the place. they are easy to run, and you can fuse it as required.

the one from game mania had 2 screews on the cig lighter adapter.
remove screws & cig lighter plug reveals the 2 wires.
hard wire the 2 wires.....1 = power 1 = earth n your done.
it comes with nice long cord to capacitor box and then a nice long cord that runs to ps2. its real small & super light weight. you can mount anywhere cos no heat unless on hot hot day.
hope this helps.
you could get it sent from vic to syd. prob cost u like 10 bucks.
