Exclamation Rear number plate...screws

My rear number plate screw was becoming very loose so I decided to take it out and investigate.

Turns out screws are not what should be used for the rear. The rear holes have bolt threads. I simply found the right bolt in the shed and it threaded perfectly and secured my number plate like it should have been done in the first place.

Is this the dealer being lazy?

I think for the front plate only you use screws so that it can tap into the plastic. Thought I might post to see if anyone else came across this.
