I'm getting to know my new Mondeo (a 2.3L 2013 MC LX wagon) and had a question that I'm having trouble finding the answer to.
Both side windows in the back of my wagon have the patterned tracing similar to that used to heat and demist the rear window and wing mirrors. I'm trying to confirm that demisting is indeed their function, as the connector for the driver's side is missing and there is no heat on either side when using the rear window heater (the rear window and wing mirrors all warm as expected). The manual doesn't seem to say anything about these side windows - nor can I find any suggestion of it in the fuse reference. The passenger side appears to have some extra traces and an extra terminal compared to the driver's side - which I'd guess to be the radio antenna. So all I can think of is that the others are there for heating. Can anyone here help me confirm what these lines on the side of my windows should be doing, and what the difference is with that connector missing? |
