Default 2002 KQ Laser, LXi

Hi guys,

Put some cash down on one of these today (sedan) after searching for a few weeks after previous small car was written off thanks to a truck.

Anyway, inspected the car today and it's a little beauty. Immaculate inside and out, a real gem....only problem cosmetically that I can find (mechanically will be inspected by RACQ) is the manual gear shift. It seems that the top of it, where the gears 1-5 + R are indicated, has worn away so it is just a silver disc ontop of a stick. I know that you do't really need the gears there as we all know where they are but it's just a little something to eventually get the better of me.

So I guess questions are:

1. How easy / difficult is to have this fixed?;
2. Can I do it myself; and
3. Where can I find what I am looking for?

Hope someone here can help....its my first post in this Forum as last 12 months been over in the Territory section.

Thanks guys!

Shane
