Hey guys, I need some info on some reversing cameras, lcds etc.
What i want to do is fit one to one of my trucks. I want to have an LCD screen in a spare din on the dash that will pop up and tuck away when not needed. I also want to watch movies on the screen, so i want to integrate the Reversing camera and the dvd player into the same thing. I also want the system to be switchable, so when ever i want to use the camera i switch it over and it changes. So for DVD viewing i will also replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket unit, but wondering if there was one that enables you to lad the disc into the unit, but display the picture on a stand alone screen?. All this will be going through a 24 volt system, OR i can install another converter and run it on 12 volts to make it simpler. There is heaps of stuff on ebay but i have no idea what is crap or what are the better brands of kits, if there are any? Will the distance from the camera to the cabin be a problem, it will involve at least 12 meters of cable. |
