Having put up with hoons for quite some time now, it was thoroughly satisfying last night to witness one of them, mid burnout, lose the plot, mount the gutter, rip into some shrubs......& then get chased by Police.
Now that I've got the camera set up, popcorn at the ready, I'm hoping tonights show will be even better! LOL |

I know the feeling, we had one ripping skids at the intersection out the front of my place then tear off fishtailing down the road clipping a tree and ending up on his side
First person he called (even before he checked if his GF was OK or calling her an ambulance was his mate with a tilt tray) Fortunately my wife had called for the 3 emergency food groups and the fire brigade got there before his mate and the tilt tray. The grub tried to name his GF as the driver but I don't know the end result after the police washed it all out Still get regular meat heads out the front so karma is short lived |

Yep I know the feeling. We used to have a household of bogans living across the street from us.
Late one Wednesday night many moons ago I heard the familiar sound of their non-turbo R34 revving up for a burnout, then the sound of tyres squealing and a loud crash. A bit of a shame she (yes, she) put the Skyline through our fence but it was worth it. |

but but but there is no danger in burnouts.....many arguments have ensued from this very forum not only condoning these brain dead fools but promoting this behaviour and advising the newbies how to do it, happening right now in the territory section.
I witnessed a degloving of a young fellows hand, as he, and others were pushing the car sideways whilst in the middle of a burnout, hand slipped, encountered the spinning wheel and degloved the left hand. I was not pleased in any way when that happened, I had to render assistance while the halfwit in the car fled the scene, but I do get great joy when one of the fools spears off the road into an immovable object, destroying only the motor vehicle with no harm to the driver or Mr Plod turns up mid stream.

At least the question being asked in the Territory section say's he has a dedicated burnout pad ![]() It's a forum... it promotes discussion good and bad. Have a good weekend... |

We have young P platers in our street that do burnouts at every intersection - we know who they are, and the police know who they are, but unless they are doing it when the police arrive, not much can be done (I'm not standing out the front at 3am with a camera to film them). Karma has got a few of them ( mounting gutters and bending wheels etc). Only luck has meant there's been no houses or other cars hit yet.

however, I respected my motor vehicles, they had to get me to and from work from monday through saturday.......I wasn't feeling the need to destroy my vehicles through lack of directive or "something to do". as for the "burnout pad" yes everyone has one of those, but funny how the youngsters or feeble of mind don't restrict their illegal activities to them. we have a very good "burnout pad" out at our dirt circuit race track, open 7 days a week to anyone who feels the "urge".......cleanest pad in the whole city, never gets used, our roads however???? I see no value in tutoring a youngster on an illegal activity or one which he is likely to be hurt doing.

There's a guy in my street who has a classic Monaro GTS and he rarely takes it out, but when he does he usually performs a massive burnout in his/our own street, and it's a small close. I just don't understand.

Without census I have to tell this story.
Some of you may be familiar with a somewhat notorious gentleman named Tim Bristow (who is no longer with us). One day, a hoon was racing up and down the street where Tim lived on Sydney's northern beaches. After the third pass, Tim went down to the roadside and waited for said hoon to return. Unfortunately for the hoon, he did return and Tim unceremoniously threw a brick through the windscreen. The hoon apparently escaped serious injury and stopped. When he got out to remonstrate and saw who had smashed his screen, he jumped straight back in and drove off, never to return. |

There's a time and a place for it. I'm 22, had my FG for 6 months and still haven't turned traction control off.
1. I don't want to stack it 2. I don't want to lose my license 3. I've never had a fine, not even a parking fine. Once again, there's a time and a place. I hope these guys learn that.

Which says to me you don't have to do a big burnout to run a good time, which also tells me you don't need to do a burnout on the street especially since you are not taking off from the lights in order to win some prize or break some PB. I'd say there is no need for a burnout at all on the streets, and those that do it probably couldn't run a decent time down the strip anyway and maybe this is why they do it - to give the perception that their car is something special, when the rest (most?) of us think they are just idiots. I get the occasional chirp of the tyres when taking off from the lights in the dry, and the occasional small spin in he wet, but that's what happens when I'm too hard on the touchy throttle rather some purposeful attempt to spin the tyres to make smoke.

The smartest thing any young whippersnapper can do is buy a camry as their first car.
This way, they can cruise through their youth, learn life experiences, and know what not to do. When grown up, permission to be a *@#$wit is earned. That's what I did anyway. Last edited by marty351; 01-04-2016 at 09:04 PM. |

There's a time and place and public roads a no no
To the OP, what area is this? What kind of street? Would a petition for speed humps or other measures be feasible on ya street? Any council meetings to discuss the issues? Sent via HTC Velocity + [HolicsROM v1.3] [SWEEP2WAKE]
