Victorian plates are a one-off cost I believe. Purchase price depends on what type of plate you order (euro-style, custom mix, etc)

No in Vic you pay $399 out right and there yours. Some other states you have to pay for them each year.

Best I seen was INUOFF, which was on a EL Fairmont Ghia dumped on silver EL GT copies. Nice car, although he's gotten rid of the plates now, not sure why.

Pop plates are the go I reakon, I paid $110 for 1 slimline, 1 standard and you get the same look as custom plates, ie. colour, plate thickness etc, the only thing missing is the **** factor of having custom letters/numbers.
ATM I wouldnt even consider paying half a grand on number plates! Rip off big time.

Yeah if you can afford them yeah why not and if I had $500 to spend on plates I would.
But there still a rip off, just the same as rego, over $300 just to get a sticker on your windscreen saying your car is allowed on the road.

Dont get me wrong here mate, custom plates are sweet as, especially smart ones that relate to the car, but come on, there proberly worth $100 tops. Its all money making I spose, vic roads (and all the other companies) have to make their money somehow I guess.

I totally agree. If you got the money then do it! I was even looking at getting BAR813 = Barbie because it was cheaper then getting full custom ones. But was still going to cost extra then standard plates. Ended up sticking to standard plates but got them in pink. Just adds another touch to the car

I actually spotted this car down at Baysie Maccas tonight. It has an "A" in front of it. AVN2NV is what I saw. Still it's pretty creative. I just have my name as mine.
