Exesive Motorsports & AMC Present National Open Drag Racing Championship Round II

Calder Park - Saturday November 15th 2008

AMC & Exesive Motorsports are pleased to announce the National Open Drag Racing Championships, with 3 new classes being added to the event, Nostalgia, Pro Outlaw and Modified Bike the event now welcomes every type of drag racing and tough street vehicle into Australia’s toughest drag racing competition even.

Each competitor has a chance to win their respective class PLUS the bonus $20,000 event champion prize money. This will be run in a DYO format, between the six class winners and two WILD CARD competitors (via a charity auction) to make an eight car finalist field, with the overall winner claiming the cool $20,000 cash!

There will also be awesome giveaway throughout the day of spectator prizes ranging from holiday packages to DVD’s plus rides in some of Australia’s toughest drag race vehicles.

Classes

Super Street (DYO Handicapped)
Winner $1500 - Runner Up $500

Open to all vehicles running 11.00–13.99 seconds (no delay boxes)
There are NO tyre restrictions in this class
This class is intended to include all types of vehicles including sedans, coupes, altered vehicles and dragsters


Super Sedan (DYO Handicapped)
Winner $1750 - Runner Up $750

Open to all vehicles running 10.99–faster (no delay boxes)
There are NO tyre restrictions in this class
This class is intended to include all types of vehicles including sedans, coupes, altered vehicles and dragsters


REAL STREET [Heads Up Racing]
Winner $2500 - Runner Up $1000

Street complying registered vehicles that complete the ‘drive to track’ qualifying and pass all Real Street scrutineering (radial street tyres, full exhaust and street compliance in general).
Note: Drag Radial tyres such as [Hoosier, M/T & BFG] CANNOT be used in this class - you must race in the Radial Class with these tyres
This class is intended to attract all types of street cars including Nissan GTR, 200SX, WRX, Supra, and the Aussie and US muscle cars alike.
This class is aimed at the fastest street cars that race not the race cars with number plates!


RADIAL [Heads Up Racing]
Winner $2500 - Runner Up $1000

Open to all vehicles using a Drag Radial street tyres such as [Hoosier, M/T & BFG]


NOSTALGIA (handicapped)
Winner $1750 - Runner Up $750

Open to all “nostalgia” vehicles such as hot rods, vintage cars/dragsters


PRO Outlaw (heads up)
Winner $3000 - Runner Up $1000

Open to all vehicles and dragsters


Modified Bike (Handicapped) - TBA

Entry Fee: $225.00 (Until 30th October 2008)
Late Entry: $300.00 (After 1st November 2008) Entry Fee includes 3 Crew Entries open: 1st June 2008
Entries Close: Friday 14th November 2008

All paid up entrants also get to race FREE at the Leagl Off Street Drag Racing Friday Nov 14th 2008

NOTE: All vehicles must strictly comply with Calder Park and general Safety requirements/regulations.
Note:
All competitors are required to display the following decals:
1. Exesivemotorsports & AMC event decal on their front windscreen.
2. Their appropriate class sponsor decal on both sides of their vehicle (must be highly visible).
3. Each class must have a minimum of 8 competitors in the field in order for the class to be run, otherwise vehicles will be grouped into the next most suitable class.
Failure to display these decals throughout the event (from scrutineering to end of race meeting) shall make that competitor non eligible to collect any prizes.

im thinking about coming down for this event, and i havnt raced at calder before.

do you know if there is 240v in the pits?
can we camp over night?
