Default Tinted foggies, DIY front lip, Bug deflector and trunk LED's

I was bored, and the internet and ebay are evil things.

Fog light overlays. We had one morning of extreme fog a few weeks back and so I had the chance to legitimately use my fog lights. I turned them on and found that they didn't really help.
When I was young, fog lights were always YELLOW! There's a bit of debate about whether the colour makes any difference but I used it as an excuse to make my focus a little more mine.

Bug Deflector For work next year it looks like I'll be doing a lot of hwy km's (thank god I bought a diesel) and although a little dicky, it will hopefully serve a practical purpose on my journeys. Installation was quick and easy and I can't wait to see if it makes any difference haha.

EZ-LIP This one I was convinced to follow through with by a forum member who did a photoshop version of what it could look like. It's held on by double sided tape which came attached to the lip itself. Just a good clean to prep the bumper and a straight eye to get it aligned. I've a problem with the lip being squashed and deformed during transit so it's a bit wobbly in one section. But not too noticable. I like it! And once again makes this car a little more mine.

LED trunk lights This one actually serves a real practical purpose. Having 2 lights in our trunk is a bloody god send but one of the lights is obscured by my sub. So off to ebay I went and found LED's to replace the stock bulbs. The good thing about the repacement is that they come with adaptors to use, not cutting of the stock light fittings required.
what I did do however was re routed the oem wiring so that I could postion the leds to where I felt they worked best. The LED was then stuck on using 3M double sided tape which was supplied.

I think I'm done ........for now.

You can get them a couple bucks cheaper, however these ones are meant to be 'the brightest available' and are supposedly samsung LEDS...which are meant to be better.

Basically, I got sucked in by the description...proof is in the pudding though, and they look the tits.

The factory light is useless, wouldn't light up a wet paper bag .

I've got something similar on the agenda for the boot light when I can be bothered, its quite annoying but not enough to get off my *** and do something about it haha.

Crazy we have to do this, including the cabin lighting in 2012. Crazy.

Nice mods Nolz.

I use one of these in my sedan - puts out pretty decent light, and have had it installed for 6 years with no problems

Thanks Leakey! Pennant Hills Rd...what a nightmare!

The focus has been a bit grubby lately and I've got waxing marks all over the plastic which needs to be cleaned up. Not to mention the PITA rims hehe.

Be sure to wave! = )

Got some yellow h11 led bulbs for my foglights, can't tell unless they're turn on though. I like the drl you have at the front, were they hard to fit ?

Weren't hard to fit. I carefully pryed out the triangles from the front bumper and took the backing off the triangle to make a cut out to fit the DRL's. I then got creative with some sikaflex to hold it in the right position.
They are as solid as can be and have worked very well. I would have liked to have angled them a little more forward facing, instead of along with the slats in the triangle which result in them pointing outwards.

My mate is an auto elec that works at the same complex as me. He did it up in a jiffy. He sourced the power from an accessory terminal in the fuse box and earthed it to one of the little bulbs in the headlight. That ensures that the DRLS turn off when the headlights are switched on, thus keeping it legal.
