Thanks for your help. Turns out the winder wasn't the hard part after all. The door closer (pull handle) has screws behind it, so has to be taken off before gaining access to the screws. There is a slot under the "pull handle" to give access to release "Clip A", but I couldn't get it to release. Turns out the clip is attached at the top as well as the bottom! And there is no slot on the top to hint at the clip position.
Anyway, after a few days, I got it off, and after 3 attempts to get the right door actuator, it's all back together and working...
