Was listening to a research doctor talking to Dr Norman Swan on the radio the other day, basically saying "brown fat" is kryptonite to diabetes.
While still in the research stage, it was found that people that had more brown fat than white fat was way less at risk of getting diabetes. Cant remember all the details of the conversation but a cure may well be on the horizon.
Diabetes is in my family, my dad lost his leg to it, over time I dropped around 30kg to make sure I don't get it. Good luck to all with it, hopefully this cure will be here sooner rather than later.
