"Fruit mince" can be purchased in most supermarkets in glass jars. It's an English product which can be used for minced pies, ecless cakes/banburys or whatever you choose to call them.
I'm a big fan and usually purchase my fruit mince during the off season (now) at much lower prices than the festive season. This stuff keeps for ever on the shelf and can be used for future festival pastry wheels etc.
