The shop doesn't get the money, the marketer does. It is all about building a client base. The buyer just turns up with the voucher and the workshop honours it.

The danger is the marketer then pays someone on a commission basis to sell the vouchers. They have little understanding of what is a service versus what is maintenance, or little care at worst, they just want their commission. The workshop will be tarred by any non ethical, pushy commission based spruikers.
