The second wave analysis is interesting, but I wonder at its meaningfulness without more context.



A second wave where only symptomatic people are tested is different in meaning to a second wave where asymptomatic people are tested.
Also a second wave with no corresponding second wave in deaths (two weeks behind) or hospitalisations (half week behind), means something else.
And a second wave where there were strict lockdowns vss where there were minimal lockdowns.
A second wave where some individuals are tested more than once.
