The thing is most people won't actually fact check what he says and when he's at a rally it's all his supporters anyway who'd just believe it.
The guy is a salesman who happens to be President of the USA, it's not surprising the guy uses sales tactics for everything.
There's 'telling lies' and there's bull****ting, this falls in the latter category and is sales 101.
