It really isn't that deadly at all, if you look at the number of infections vs the number of deaths. Not to mention the number of people who have been infected that don't even know they have been. The exception being the elderly and unhealthy.

But it is really contagious, which makes it so bad, as the numbers of infected can soar so easily. It spreads like wild fire if left unchecked.

To me that is the difference between this and the flu. The flu is nowhere near as contagious, as well as being slightly less dangerous to the average healthy person.
