As I understand it, coronavirus is just one of the causes of the common cold. According to wikipedia, coronavirus only accounts for around 15% of colds:

I haven't put this here to dispute what you've said, prydey, rather as a way to inform people, like me, who didn't know any of this. It was you post that prompted me to look into it a bit more, so thanks.
