Been reading a few tales in the news where it seemed the Government were maybe holding a little too tightly onto people here, when they had good reason to leave and no further means of support in Australia.
Konfetka got an exemption to travel yesterday, she was going stir-crazy in Sydney and the family weren’t helping by pretty much constantly pinging her from Riga with video calls and clips of the grandchildren being totally adorable kids.

* booked a fare 12 hours before fee-for-quarantine became mandated and then busied herself with preparing the application for exemption to leave. Permission was granted on the basis that documented necessary dental work was unaffordable to her in Australia but economical in Europe even with the flight costs considered.
