Usually though private searches bring the goods, so if the gov pull out I hope a private firm makes it their mission to find it (like Titanic).
It's a pity the Chinese haven't put in more cash into it.

Actually the titanic wasn't found thanks to private funding. Robert D Ballard was actually trying to find something else for the US defence department. For the life of me, can't remember what it was.....
