Default Getting more bite!

Hay Matt,

Thought id post this up rather than a PM in case any members had experienced the same issue

So far my break system is stock at the rear but upfront is the C5 caliper kit which consists of

PBR C5- calipers,

PBR pads

325mm discs

Braided lines (think they were good ridge from memory).

Over all the breaking performance is very positive and does pull the car up incredibly well when you stamp the pedal but its the initial bite that has me a bit wanting.

I wouldnt describe it as spongy but the pedal feel for very light breaking is a bit weak to the point where i cant tell if it is breaking or not - once pushed a bit further, i begin to feel the breaks come on and do their thing very well.

Is there a way to increase that pedal feeling a bit more? Im pretty sure i dont have air in the lines as i bled it around 2 months ago with no problem. However im going to bleed it a bit this weekend to make sure there is still no air bubbles.

Is this more of a pad issue or would it be due to the rears still being standard lines and the fronts being braided (i.e., do the rear lines start to expand a little bit and take away that instant feeling?).

Ford seem to think its fine (as always) however im interested to know if it might be something simple as a pad swap and rear braided lines or something more sinister like the ABS system requiring to bled.

Cheers,
Dom
