If the BF
ecu can manage 2 x VCT, wouldn't it be possible to run the 2 intake cames off the 1 channel and the 2 exhaust cams off the other? I don't really understand what advantages could be had running the 2 intake cams independently and having the exhaust cams fixed timing, but I really don't know bugger all about VCT.
