I am having a similar problem with my wifes car a Land Rover Freelander and I think it has something to do with the sensors. Have you had any work done on the vehicle prior to this happening because that is what happend with the Freelander.

Took it back to my mechanic and he thinks it is just adjustment of the sensor to get it sitting in just the right place so we are working on it now as it has only happened since he fitted new front CV's on it last week.

If you still can't get it fixed let me know.
